Wireless PCI Ubuntu#

Daughter love now has her own dekstop op de zolder. I don't want to hassle with cables, so I bought a wireless PCI card.

It is NetGear WG311 V3.
This card works only with ndiswrapper

Installation steps#

• First make a wired connection
• Install all latest Ubuntu maintenance (there was something broken in kernel 2.6.22 regarding ndiswrapper)
• Install ndiswrapper tools, the usual Ubuntu way
• Figure out what the proper drivers are, I tried several versions (before and after the kernel upgrade), and i found this one successful
