Fortigate 60D firewall#

I got an older Fortigate 60D (Fortinet), and trying to use it as a firewall on my home network.

Here is an excellent manual, the Administration Guide

Factory reset#

• power off the device
• press and hold the reset button (with a needle)
• power on (stick in the cable) while holding the reset button for 10-30 secs
• wait until the status light starts blinking fast (can take 2 to 3 mins)
• press the reset button once more
• connect utp cable to port 1
• login with user "admin" and empty password
• point browser at https://192.168.1.99

Unfortunately you cannot configure routing rules to my KPN modem, and so the setup becomes unusable. You can only access the devices behind the firewall if you connect your laptop (wired) to the fortigate.
