!!! Android on my HTC HD2 [{TableOfContents }] !! Next attempt: [Android Gingerbread|Android Gingerbread and ICS] !! Resources * [XDA FAQ & Instructions|http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7088391&postcount=3] * [Download Radio ROMs|http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787] !! Customizations ! QuickSSHD Purchased/Installed QuickSSHD, very handy.\\ Connect via USB tehtering, set a password, and you ssh into your phone (run {{busybox /bin/sh}}) to get a neat shell.\\ Or better, add file {{~/.profile}}, which is executed by the ash shell, and put {{busybox /bin/sh}} in it. !! Favorite apps * astro (explorer) * gmail * Friend Stream * QuickSSHD (in combination with USB Tethering on my Linux laptop) __Potentials__ : * Secure EAS * PhoneUsage * Exchange Touchdown !! Challenges ! Stability I still get regularly hangs, depending on what you do. * after disabling "Background Data" * after installing MySettings app and enabling 3G (uninstalled it again) * phone hangs when you leave it alone for half an hour (sometimes) I upgraded to Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14, see if that helps. \\Well, that does help, but still I had a hang again this afternoon. ! Battery drain While running WM, I can run the phone 2 or 3 days with one battery charge. Running Android I can hardly run just one day :-( . Today I measured a bit more accurately, I can run 10 hours with a full battery, that's really excessive, not acceptable. ! EAS logon with DigtCert (fixed) Connecting to the enterprise EAS (Exchange ActiveSync) requires you to logon with a digital certificate. At the moment I don't see a way to do that (only userid/password logon). Probably Secure EAS can do the job. Also see [http://wiki.rabobank.nl], search for {{Android}} This has been fixed by installing Exchange Touchdown from nitrodesk :-), I started with the free 30-day trial version. If everything remains a bit stable, I might purchase the full version.
